Griffin School. We got into this one, I’ll post photos soon.
The boxcar is from “Milwaukee Road”, I will post up some close ups of that little gem as well.
Town had a population of 67 in 1930, nobody lives there now.
“In the early years, Griffin had a feed barn, Post Office, two lumber yards, two stores, restaurant, depot, saloon, three elevators, livery barn and a pool hall called “Blind Pig.” Gambling was carried on there.” Prairie Tale II (1989), p. 360.

Kowloon Walled City was a small favela (Brazilian style slum) type community in Hong Kong. It had an extensive infrastructure and community that lived in it as well as negative elements associated with slums. In the late 2000s it was torn down to make room for other building projects, so now it’s existence only is as a memory.
ayey:
“Situated on an area of around 100 acres, and 45 minutes drive from the center of Beijing, are the ruins of ‘Wonderland’. Construction stopped more than a decade ago, with developers promoting it as ‘the largest amusement park in Asia’. Funds were withdrawn due to disagreements over property prices with the local government and farmers. So what is left are the skeletal remains of a palace, a castle, and the steel beams of what could have been an indoor playground in the middle of a corn field.” - By David Gray
